The animals had been recovered by police, but their unknown origins made them ineligible for pet adoption. Swedish authorities found 760 lizards, 67 turtles, 18 snakes, two crocodiles, one water monitor and 11 frogs caged up in an abandoned shop in the small town of L\u00f6ber\u00f6d last month&#8230; The method \u201cworked very well: acceptable in terms of animal welfare as well as practical,\u201d vet Bengt R\u00f6ken, who works at the Kolm\u00e5rden Zoo, told local media&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cHundreds of beautiful animals were discarded like rubbish.
