You\u2019re not imagining things \u2013 dogs really do care when their humans seem upset, and they\u2019ll do whatever they can to make sure you\u2019re okay. That\u2019s backed up by a recent study published in the journal Learning &amp; Behavior, which found that dogs will overcome obstacles to help out their humans&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Researchers gathered 34 pet dogs of various breeds and sizes and their humans, then, one at a time, put their humans behind a clear door held shut with magnets. The dogs were able to see and hear their humans behind the doors as they were instructed to either hum Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or start crying&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>During the task researchers measured dogs\u2019 stress levels, and found that the dogs who pushed through the door to save their human showed less stress than those who didn\u2019t open the door. It turned out that the dogs that simply didn\u2019t open the door were too stressed out by their human\u2019s crying to do anything.
