PETA sues USDA over roadside zoo licensing

According to PETA, Perdue and state agriculture officials aren't doing enough to crack down on zoos with multiple violations, which should have their licenses revoked.

CRAIG HLAVATY: ‘An animal rights group has sued U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue over roadside zoo licensing across the country, including one near Alvin. In a statement, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals [PETA] alleged that the Department of Agriculture was automatically renewing federal licenses for applicants that the group says are violating the Animal Welfare Act.
