PETA: ‘Cruel and unnecessary animal testing is rampant in colleges and universities across the United States. Unfortunately, because of limitations in the federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA), most of this testing occurs without any federal protections for the animals or public documentation. It’s impossible to know just how many animals are being used for this bad science.
