WE ANIMALS MEDIA: Animal photojournalism wins at international photography awards

At this restaurant in Phnom Penh, they receive dog 'carcasses' from slaughterhouses all over Cambodia. After having her fur removed, this particular dog was left in a pool of her own blood. I was captivated by how she looked so at peace, despite her brutal end. This was a dog’s soul, which no longer resembled a living creature. A perfectly preserved dog angel.
