Ladislav Kuc is a Slovakian animal rights supporter imprisoned in the aftermath of an explosion in front of a McDonald’s on December 28, 2011. Although there were no injuries as a result of the incident, Ladislav was arrested on January 1, 2012 and sentenced to 25 years. His sentence was reduced after the 'terrorism' charges were dropped and he was finally released on January 1, 2024. Ladislav has quite a few health issues and is finding life outside prison quite complicated.

Ladislav was arrested on January 1, 2012. Originally sentenced to 25 years in 2014, in 2016 his case was returned to the district court, the ‘terrorism’ charges were dropped, and he was resentenced to 23.5 years. It was appealed and he was resentenced again in 2017 to 10 years. Finally, he was released on January 1, 2024… He has been trying to adapt to life outside as well as catching up with doctor appointments that prison completely neglected during his incarceration. He has quite a few health issues and is finding life outside quite complicated, specially navigating different doctors and hurdles with hospitals.
