‘Women Are Also Animals’: An art exhibition where feminism meets veganism
What defines feminism and veganism, and are there similarities? Through the art exhibition “Women are also animals”, Aurora Huldra wishes to give animals a voice, and to challenge the cultural view on gender roles and traditions.
VISIT NORWAY: What defines feminism and veganism, and are there similarities? Through the art exhibition “Women are also animals”, Aurora Huldra wishes to give animals a voice, and to challenge the cultural view on gender roles and traditions. Several of the exhibitions paintings have been created outdoors. Aurora returned to Norway in 2020 after several years onboard her sailboat in the Mediterranean. Some of her paintings have had the taste of sea water during sailing, and some has bathed in Norwegian snow and rain.
Aurora will be present during the art exhibition, and values every visitor to her show. The exhibition is for everyone, and we will keep a free enterance all Saturdays throughout October, from 13-16. The paintings are detailed, experimental and colorful, with a distinct use of blue and orange. The art always describes nature and veganism, through layers and layers of acrylic paint.
