Piglets slammed to death against a wall by worker at UK pig farm from hell

The sound of piglets’ heads being smashed against the wall, the cries of agony as their tiny teeth are clipped, and the terrified squeals of pigs being forced onto the slaughter truck with electric shocks could all be straight out of a horror film.

ABE HAWKEN: ‘Terrified piglets were filmed screaming in agony as the tips of their teeth were clipped off while others were repeatedly shocked with an electric prod. The horrific footage was filmed by two anonymous animal rights campaigners who set up covert cameras at Rosebury Farm in Dunstable, Beds. One piglet – which was frothing at the mouth – was seen being thrown onto a pile of dead pigs. The campaigners then passed the footage – filmed over a three-month period – to Animal Equality and the farm has now been expelled from the industry’s “assured food standards” scheme. Meanwhile, other cameras showed dozens of dead piglets littering the floor of the birthing shed and other piglets were trapped in crates with their dead siblings…

Dr Toni Shephard, Executive Director at Animal Equality, was stunned after viewing the footage and said “it’s time consumers knew the truth”. She said: “The sound of piglets’ heads being smashed against the wall, the cries of agony as their tiny teeth are clipped, and the terrified squeals of pigs being forced onto the slaughter truck with electric shocks could all be straight out of a horror film. Yet these harrowing scenes are from the much romanticised local, family farm producing British pork under the Red Tractor label”… The clips were passed to Red Tractor, Defra’s Animal and Plant Health Agency and the RSPCA’.
